We are seeking a dedicated Information Support Specialist to provide technical support and assistance across the organization. As an Information Support Specialist, you will be the first point of contact for employees experiencing technical issues with their computer systems, software, and network. You will diagnose and resolve problems quickly and efficiently, ensuring minimal disruption to daily operations.
Responsibilities
Provide first-line technical support to end-users, addressing issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity.
Diagnose and troubleshoot system problems, escalating more complex issues to senior IT staff when necessary.
Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, software, and peripherals.
Assist with the setup and deployment of new hardware and software, ensuring compatibility with existing systems.
Maintain accurate records of support requests, resolutions, and technical documentation.
Conduct training sessions to help users become more proficient with technology tools and resources.
Collaborate with IT team members to implement improvements and upgrades to the IT infrastructure.
Monitor system performance and ensure the security and integrity of data.
Stay updated on the latest technology trends and best practices in IT support.
Requirements
Proven experience as an Information Support Specialist, IT Support Technician, or similar role.
Strong knowledge of computer systems, software, and network troubleshooting.
Proficiency in operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) and common office software applications.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional) are a plus.
